I am so over joyed that my great grandmother’s 1917 Singer sewing machine is back in working order thanks to my youngest son Tom. Thank you Tom. Last night armed with my Cath Kidston Sewing Book, I started work on my first project a pillow case for my grand daughter’s room. It did not turn out as planned but I am pleased with my first attempt. I am really interested in combining sewing with crochet so watch this space for future projects.
Having been working on my blanket for some time, this weekend I wanted a change.
Therefore, I completed an old project, started and completed a new project.
Variety is the spice of life ha ha.
I am completely in love with Annie Sloan paint and have finally completed my dressing table and chair up cycle. This paint is so forgiving which is most helpful when the painter is a novice!
During a quick browse around the shops, I picked up some lovely material which of course needed a crochet border.
I had been dying to try out the pillow case edging featured in a recent Simply Crochet magazine.
I have included a few pictures that for me remind me that ‘ I am home’..
