- Atlast I have finished my Spring blanket. Hip, hip hooray. I have already started my next project and will share that with you next time. Time for a celebration with a Summer Paella.
It’s been a crazy few weeks but when I look back I can’t see why it was so crazy. I am taking a deep breath and I am calm…. It’s my scrumptious grandaughter’s 2 nd birthday tomorrow so I have been busy baking cup cakes with a sprinkling of fairy dust.
My poncho is taking shape and I am loving the colour combination. I have noticed lots of ponchos in the shops so I am right on trend ha ha.
Hope you enjoy my pictures illustrating the past week in the Dannycat household x.
I have spent a glorious few days immersed in colour and crochet. For our wedding anniversary my husband and I visited the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. I have always wanted to visit the V & A for the opportunity to surround myself with art and design. I have posted just a few of the exhibits that caught my eye.
Although it has been a hectic few days I have found time (up at a ridiculously early time) to work on my doll’s house , complete an ipad sleeve and start a new project..a poncho. I have included a picture of my son’s birthday just because the colours rock!
Life can sometimes get in the way of crafting. However, as much as I possibly can I try and enjoy every moment. Crochet and crafting helps me stay in the present moment and for that I am truely grateful.
Hope you all enjoy the photos..
Busy, busy week at work so I need my fix of crochet, colour and scrummy food. I am busy crocheting colourful mandalas for my son’s wedding in a month’s time. I am using an adapted pattern from Zooty owl’s blog. I have just made a yummy recipe from this month’s Vegetarian Living magazine, broad beans with garlic, dill and eggs bag halva ghatogh. I didn’t realise I liked broad beans until now. Now there must be time for just a quick stroll in the garden!
Abit of this and that brings such joy into my world….
Flower Corsage from Inside Crochet magazine.
I confess it has been a while since I worked on my mood blanket. Thankfully I have been jotting down in my journal a colour for each day, so my blanket remains a true record of my mood. I just love the randomness of the colours. I must have a very colourful mood tee hee.
Although the weather has been miserable the garden has not suffered and I am thrilled to show up my lavender wellies.
Hope you all enjoy this week’s recipe, roasted red pepper and goat’s cheese tart from Vegetarian Living magazine June 2014.
