Taking advantage of a well earned day off, I have spent a blissful afternoon with Esmeralda.
She has been so forgiving of my stopping and starting, huffing and puffing.
Finally after a few false starts..let me present.. vintage skirts for my grand daughters…
I have followed the Www.danamadeit.com you tube video with just a few alterations e.g seams were made using a mock French seam.
The material used was Cath Kidston Rosali from the IKEA Wednesbury store.
I have recently finished two Spring projects just in time for my garden to bloom. I adore this time of year, the colours available in yarn and emerging in the garden fill me with gratitude. When the world around me is busy, busy, busy, Colour helps me to stay in the moment. X
This week I am celebrating being Fabulously Fifty and I love it! Xxx
Feeling sad this morning listening to the news so I am trying to focus on gratitude and all the good things in the world that make me smile.
As you can see my poncho project is taking shape and I have also made a flower brooch for a wedding I am attending this weekend. The flower pattern is from Nicki Trench’s book Cute and Easy Crochet with Flowers.
The last few weeks have been busy, busy, busy preparing for my eldest son’s wedding. My daughter in law entrusted me with mandela making for a Victorian Sweet cart and decorating a Wishing Well. I worried about every detail but I needn’t of fretted….
It’s been a busy few weeks but I have still managed to dip my toes and occasionally submerge myself in glorious colour.
Busy, busy week at work so I need my fix of crochet, colour and scrummy food. I am busy crocheting colourful mandalas for my son’s wedding in a month’s time. I am using an adapted pattern from Zooty owl’s blog. I have just made a yummy recipe from this month’s Vegetarian Living magazine, broad beans with garlic, dill and eggs bag halva ghatogh. I didn’t realise I liked broad beans until now. Now there must be time for just a quick stroll in the garden!
Woke early this morning with the challenges of a busy day at work racing through my mind. What was needed was a few minutes in the garden…quiet time just for me and of course a row of crochet. Happy and contented….
