Had a super dooper day at the Hay Festival yesterday. The whole day was spent browsing book shops and listening to speakers. However, I did manage to capture some wonderful colour and even found some opportunity to crochet.
I confess it has been a while since I worked on my mood blanket. Thankfully I have been jotting down in my journal a colour for each day, so my blanket remains a true record of my mood. I just love the randomness of the colours. I must have a very colourful mood tee hee.
Although the weather has been miserable the garden has not suffered and I am thrilled to show up my lavender wellies.
Hope you all enjoy this week’s recipe, roasted red pepper and goat’s cheese tart from Vegetarian Living magazine June 2014.
Baking, making and pottering in the garden…I was in heaven. Scrumptious fairy cakes for a friend’s birthday and then a scrummy crushed new potato and watercress pesto frittata (featured in Vegetarian Living magazine ) for lunch. Having a grand child is a great excuse to indulge in play dough making.
I am also proud to show off my latest project, a heart shaped wreath made with vibrant summer colours from the DMC Natura Cotton range.
As always I have too many projects on the go. I have spent the weekend enjoying and adding a splash of colour to my garden, making a lovely mini tablecloth for my grandaughter’ s bedroom, covering an old chest of draws with Decopatch and finally a new project!
