A garden, Easter, a dolls house, canal boats and a finished crochet project…..

The bank holiday weekend was a real mixed bag.
The garden had a make over thanks to my very talented mother in law. Another person’s perspective was invaluable as always.

Easter was a time of celebration starting with a family meal, an Easter Egg hunt and culminating in a broken tooth (mine!).

The bank holiday was spent car booting, visiting one of my favourite places Norbury Junction and finishing my latest crochet project.
For years, I have secretly dreamed of acquiring a dolls
house and my dream came true thanks to my local car boot.
I am proud to announce I was a cash buyer and there is no mortgage on the property!
I now have the bare bones and can look foward to decorating. It will of course be full of colour.

The love the colours to found whenever canal boats are in the vicinity. A canal boat is another dream but that’s for another time..

And finally, last but not least I have finished my blanket. I have aptly named it ‘Kaleidoscope’. It will eventually take pride and place on my grand daughter’s future bed.
I am glowing with pride and I hope to publish the pattern as soon as I find a free moment. Hope you all like it. Xxx

Coming alive….

For once last weekend, I downed tools and ignored the household chores in favour of shopping, pottering in the garden, a family meal and of course my beloved hook and wool.
The garden is coming alive and is full of promise. I have also made good progress with my blanket, just nine more rows to go. Why do the last few rows always take so long?????
