I’m back to what comes naturally……glorious colour.
I have so,enjoyed upcycling this pot which was home to a Christmas possetta. Every time I look at it it makes me smile.
I have also completed the first four weeks of my mood blanket inspire by Le monde de Sucrette. I look foward to picking up my trusty hook and choosing the wool each evening to illustrate my mood during the day.
I have battled and struggled with Sky jumper, not because it was a difficult pattern but more because it has taken sooooo long to complete.
I have rewarded myself with time to play in the kitchen. As week days are so busy I really love to cook at the weekend.
Today’s creation was Jerk sweet potato and black bean curry. The recipe was from BBC Good Food Vegetarian Christmas December 2013 and was delicious..yummy..
Tomorrow I am spending the day with my fifteen month old grandaughter so I have baked some oat bars filled with jam. This recipe is from February’s Vegetarian Living magazine. It is scrummy…..
I think someone is hungry…
Bath time for Gertie…
The best 1980’s mullet…
I am so happy that Spring is coming….
Sundays are made for crochet and chocolate cake don’t you think?
A little lop sided but cleverly disguised with the icing….
….and gratefully received by my husband.
I am having so much fun working on my mood blanket..today’s colour surprise, surprise was chocolate brown.
Strawberry always finds my latest project…
Felt, cotton dk and my hook…what shall I make? …
I am always happy when I’m hooking. Xxx
Today has been a day full of scrumptious colour.
I’ve not checked in for a while as I have been unwell recently. Hoping that each day I will improve with the help of my beloved crochet.
To update you, I am still working on my Sky jumper. It seems to be taking a long time and I am finding it hard to stay motivated…I will keep going!!!!
I have also started a new project courtesy of the wonderful Le monde de Sucrette. It is the 2014 mood blanket.
Here’s my first week of 2014, sadly it is full of greens, greys, blue and red to illustrate the poor start to my year health wise. But hey I am hoping to be producing bright pinks, yellows and purples in the very near future!
