Terrific Thursday

One day to go until the weekend.
Busy, busy day at work broken up by a quick excursion to my local wool shop.
Loved gorging myself on the yarn. Found some gorgeous Debbie Bliss cream cashmerino for
my Buffy project. The shop is quite old fashioned but the yarn choice and friendly staff more
than makes up for the lack of trendy decor. My hook is calling me so I’m going to settle into my nest and ‘hook away’……….

A new start….

….Indeed, the first day of a new year is a day for new starts. Today I have made a commitment to myself to blog as often as I can.I’m going to positive and banish any temptation to include ‘probably won’t last’ or ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’.

I have started a new crochet project inspired by the recent book by Tif Fussell & Rachelle Blondel ‘Granny Chic’. I am armed with a dress makers dummy, a size 4 mm crochet hook and oodles of gorgeous cream and white wool. I am going to transform the dummy (affectionately named Duffy by my husband). I have no pattern I am just going to freeform….yipee I can’t. With most things in life I hate to be constrained.
